For the first time ever, The Future Begins Today had students, Lunch Buddies, parents, and college students walk in the Troy Strawberry Festival Parade. College students carried bright yellow flags and led the unit. Plans are to have a float for the 2005 parade.

The Future Begins Today booth at the Troy Strawberry Festival was a popular place as everyone wanted to taste the Strawberry Salsa, winner of the 2004 Best Strawberry Culinary Award.
